With the hectic rush of last year's annual Mothers Day High Tea still etched in Phil's mind I thought this year would see us opting for the dining out option. But with Phil's generous spirit and passion for our new Kitchen Aid, plans were afoot. This year saw one major change though. Preparations would start on Saturday! With the ritual Sunday morning run now extending in readiness for the Noosa 1/2 marathon Phil and Emmy started early.
I think it was still a bit rushed but once again it was simpy divine.
The Menu: egg and parsely finger sandwiches, mini cheese and bacon quiches, super delicious scones with NZ boysenberry jam and cream, assorted macaroons (bought from Emporiums french bakery - the berry ones were definitely a favourite), chocolate logs and to finish ...coconut cake (and some more cream!)
Thank you Phil and kids for an absolutely delicious treat, and even more thanks for agreeing that we really didn't need any dinner! So another Mother's Day has filled me with joys big and small and reminded me of how special it is to be a mother!
great high tea... ummm it all looks delicious Regards kathy, enoggera
